Commander's Message

Welcome to the New Hampshire Wing of the Civil Air Patrol. We are the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force in the Granite State. Professionalism is our cornerstone. Our dedicated volunteers directly support our main missions of Cadet Programs, Emergency Services and Aerospace Education. Our members work to give back to our community with our missions in a very real and tangible way.

After severe storms you will find our members flying to capture critical aerial images that are used by FEMA and other state agencies to direct support to the hardest hit areas. Our members operate command posts to help better coordinate resources for storm response. We conduct on ground surveys to help in this effort as well. When aircraft are missing we are the prime agency responsible to the Air Force to search for those aircraft and crews. We also assist other state agencies, both in the air and on the ground, to help them perform their critical missions.

Our cadet program is a successful and challenging program program that gets today’s youth excited about possible careers in the aerospace industry. It molds young men and women into responsible, self-assured adults that know how to lead and instills in them the self-discipline needed to make sound life choices. Throughout its 75 year history, the cadet program has produced many leaders within America’s aerospace industry and the military.

In the classroom, we have strong collection of aerospace curriculum created in partnership with the US Air Force and academia. These materials, along with Hanson STEM kits, provide educators with a wealth of tools and information to bring science to life both in and out of the classroom.

No matter where you look, our team of professional volunteers is hard at work helping to make New Hampshire, New England and our Nation a better place. We have local units throughout the state. If you are interested in joining our team and making a real difference in your community, please contact us.

Thank you,
Dominic(Nic) Goupil, Col, CAP
