American Heritage Museum Visit
January 17, 2026
Members of the Manchester Composite Squadron visited the American Heritage Museum. We had an amazing time exploring this impressive military history museum, featuring one of the world’s largest collections of tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft, and artillery spanning from the Revolutionary War through modern conflicts. The visit gave our members a deeper appreciation for military history and its evolution over time.

Awards Night
January 15, 2026
The Manchester Composite Squadron proudly celebrated several major achievements within the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program. We recognized several promotions marking key leadership transitions, including two cadets, C/SSgt Asher Farrar and C/SSgt William Sullivan earning the Wright Brothers Award being promoted to Cadet Staff Sergeant, one cadet, C/2nd Lt Mayumi Goodman earning the General Billy Mitchell Award and being promoted to Cadet Second Lieutenant, and C/Maj Julia Tetreault completing Achievement 14 and being promoted to Cadet Major.
In addition, the squadron was honored to receive the Quality Cadet Unit Award, recognizing sustained excellence across cadet leadership, training, and program execution.
We were also proud to recognize Maj Derek Voigt, who earned the Gill Robb Wilson Award, Civil Air Patrol’s highest professional award for senior members. This distinction reflects exceptional service, leadership, and a career of sustained contributions to CAP at the highest level.
Finally, congratulations to TSgt Denzil Mitchell on his promotion to Technical Sergeant, recognizing his prior service in the U.S. Navy and his continued commitment to service as a Civil Air Patrol NCO.
Congratulations to all who were recognized—your achievements reflect dedication, professionalism, and a continued commitment to excellence.

The Manchester Composite Squadron is pleased to announce we have a new squadron patch!
The design not only features symbols of all 3 missions of Civil Air Patrol: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs, but also pays homage to our patch from the 1950 by incorporating similar design elements.

Manchester Composite Squadron Change of Command Ceremony

October 16, 2025
The Civil Air Patrol’s change of command ceremony is a long-standing military tradition symbolizing the formal transfer of authority and responsibility from one commander to another. It provides an opportunity to honor an outgoing commander’s service and welcome their successor.
On October 16, the Manchester Cadet Squadron held its change of command ceremony at the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire in Londonderry. During the event, Col. Goupil wing commander recognized Capt. Julia McAdoo for her dedication and leadership of the Manchester Squadron. Following her remarks, command was formally transferred to Maj. Derek Voight, who previously served as the Deputy Squadron Commander for Senior Members in the Nashua Squadron.
Under new leadership, the Manchester Cadet Squadron looks forward to continuing its mission of developing cadets into tomorrow’s leaders, supporting aerospace education, and providing emergency services to the community. The squadron remains committed to upholding the Civil Air Patrol’s core values of integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect.
