DROP OFF:
Our in-processing window is between 1300 (1pm) and 1500 (3pm). Please do your very best to get there at the front of that arrival window (but not before 1300)
That gives your cadet time to get settled before we start the encampment briefings at 1500 (3pm). We have a lot to do to get them formally under our care--checking paperwork, checking bags, issuing and marking their encampment swag, and introducing them to their standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Bring a print-out of the paperwork you sent us to get base access in case the gate guards ask to see it. If you have a military ID or CAC card, you can get on Fort Devens with those in lieu of paperwork.
If you did not send us your paperwork to get on base. You will need to bring it with you to the gate and expect to go through the screening at the gate. That could take a while with all the other arrivals during that window. Please plan accordingly. We will station a CAP senior member at the front gate to help and answer questions and receive your cadet at the gate if you don't have access.
Our Arrival Procedures have changed!
The base moved us to a totally different building. Please take a look at this map for graphic directions from the gate to the drop off point.
Drop off instructions:
- Hold short of the star to wait your turn.
- When beckoned, pull around the corner to drop off.
- When cadet and baggage is unloaded and clear of the vehicle, reverse back onto the street.
- Drive the reverse route to leave the base.
