Packing List

 

NH/ME Wing 2025 Summer Encampment & Advanced Training Squadron

The 2025 Student packing list is posted here (click this link) or you can print the PDF on the related links on the right. 

Please print the packing list, and check off the items you already have, then start working on obtaining the items you do not have.  Always start with your squadron.  Ask if they have something you can sign out before you go out to purchase it. 

NOTICE:
Cadets under 18 years of age will be required to turn in all medications during in-processing. Please place all medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) in a clear gallon bag that seals and label the bag, with a sharpie as follows, Last Name, First Initial, CAP ID and CAPF#; example: Brown, C. 123456 CAPF 60-81
All prescriptions must be in originally dispensed bottles and provide the doctor’s instructions for proper dosing frequencies and amounts.
All Over-The-Counter medications must be in their original containers or packages.
 

 

Here are some things to note about the packing list:

  1.  We have special permission to wear PT clothes during periods of hot weather, so extra pairs of black PT pants are recommended.
  2. Some kind of work or tactical glove is required for all activities on the Fort Devens Range. Can be leather work gloves or tactical gloves, but they are mandatory and should fit well.
  3. A Canteen with Web Belt is required, we suggest this Plastic Military Canteen with belt or similar. 
  4. Cadets can and are encouraged to bring sunscreen and bug spray even though those didn't make it on the packing list.
  5. Don't forget to pack the sneakers!!!
  6. Don't forget to pack a towel (or two)!!!
  7.  Advanced Training Students WILL need a computer to research, make presentations, and resumes, etc. 

Do Not Bring:

  1. Car Keys (Some cadets are old enough to drive themselves.)
  2. Fire Works
  3. Perfumes or Body Sprays
  4. Knives or weapons
  5. Alarm Clocks (For Basic Encampment Students)
  6. Cell Phone (or watches that act as cell phones)
  7. Computers, Ipads, Electronics, Gaming Systems
  8. Illegal drugs or alcohol
  9. Vaping or tobacco products
  10. Non-Religious, Non-Civil Air Patrol Reading Materials

All cadets must  bring a paper copy of their health history (CAPF 160) to keep on their person in case of emergency.
